Pricing data that arrives clean.
The data behind every Simple Healthcare product: the cleaned negotiated-rate dataset with billions of pre-calculated benchmarks, and the episode-level pricing that powers Roadmap. Scoped to the work you are actually doing, for vendors, analysts, consultants and product teams.
The raw files run to hundreds of gigabytes, the formats fight each other, and a large share of the rates are for services the provider has never performed. Making them usable is the whole job, and it starts over every quarter.
Rates, episodes, and the layers that connect them.
Landscape is one product built on this data. Roadmap is another. Both run on the same foundation, and all of it can be licensed.
The rate tables behind Landscape
Roughly 200 insurers across 400 plans and about 6,000 hospital machine-readable files, cleaned and validated, with billions of pre-calculated benchmarks by code, provider and market.
The episode data behind Roadmap
Full episodes of care priced on negotiated rates: the surgeon, the facility, anesthesia, labs and follow-up, assembled provider by provider. The same episode definitions and benchmarks Roadmap uses to price a plan.
Affiliation, quality and site of service
Provider and facility affiliations, quality measures and site-of-service classifications that connect a rate to the episode it belongs to.
Cleaned and documented, with every gap flagged.
You don't parse files, and we don't guess at rates
Dead codes, placeholder values and outliers removed. We never fill a gap with a Medicare multiple and call it a negotiated price.
The same data our research runs on
The same data behind Roadmap and Landscape. Where a value is estimated rather than observed, the row says so.

Build on the same data the plan is looking at.
Navigation, steerage, reference-based pricing, direct contracting and specialty vendors license the same dataset as everyone else, on the same terms.
Ship on real negotiated rates
The cleaned commercial dataset behind our own products, by API or flat file. Estimated values are flagged, so your product decides what to surface.
Price the service lines you work in
Episode-level pricing on negotiated rates for the procedures and sites your product steers, contracts or reprices, on the same basis a plan uses to model them.
One dataset, one method, for everyone
Licensing the data changes nothing about how any category is evaluated in our own products. No placement is for sale, and the analysis is the same whoever is holding it.
We sell to anyone. The analysis stays the same.
The dataset is built from rates federal rules already require to be public, and we license it on the same terms to everyone. Being a licensee changes nothing about how a company is scored in our own products.
You can buy the analysis. You cannot buy the answer.
Read the standard we apply →Built on the negotiated rates more than 200 health plans and more than 6,000 hospitals must publish, plus Medicare and all-payer claims and hundreds of additional sources, joined to full episodes of care. Researching and publishing on healthcare price and quality transparency since 2012. See the methodology and data sources.

Bring the codes, markets and how often you need it refreshed. We will scope the data to the work rather than sell you all of it.
Frequently asked questions.
What's included, and how is it delivered?
All DRG and HCPCS billing codes with commercial negotiated rates, plus the episode-level pricing and provider layers behind Roadmap where your use case needs them, by API or flat file, in tables that are ready to use. Custom code selection where you only need part of it. Refreshed quarterly, with changes documented so you can tell a rate movement from a filing change.
Can we license the episode-level data behind Roadmap?
Yes. The episode definitions, provider affiliations and episode-level benchmarks Roadmap uses to price a full episode of care are available on the same terms as the rate tables. Client claims are never part of a license. They stay with the plan that owns them.
Is there PHI in the dataset?
No. It is built from published price files and public claims sources. Where client claims are involved in our own products they are anonymized, encrypted at rest and in transit, and handled under a HIPAA business associate agreement with the plan.
Can we white label the data?
Co-branding yes, white labeling no. An outside check only works as an outside check when it is presented as one.
What does it cost?
Scoped case by case against codes, markets and refresh schedule, and set before we look at your work. No commissions and no share of identified savings. See pricing.
